As many folks are blasting , Future , 2 Chainz , Jeezy and T.I. , there has been a vicious under-belly of talent brewing right in the streets of Atlanta. The mainstream audience has over-looked until movement until now. You won’t find these guys at Phipps Plaza or Lenox Mall as much as you may find them in Little Five Points skating, or even rocking the latest from Black Scale ( who happened to craft a collaboration that was Atlanta based ). The likes of Atlanta groups TWO9, Reese, Earth Gang & Rome Fortune ( who will be featured in Part 2 ) attempt to battle the status quo with a collection of eclectic sounds that not only shows their cultured minds and versatility but also shows that they have not forgotten where they came from. Growing up in an urban environment it is often difficult to express what you like more than one thing with out being scrutinized or called weird.
Two9 is a young, talented, Atlanta-based hip-hop collective, skilled both lyrically and on production. Two9′s production credits include Juicy J, Meek Mill, Fly Union, Lil B The Based God, A$AP Rocky and Kreayshawn. After listening to Two – 9 Forever I’m pretty sure this group can care less about anything anybody else has to say about them, and that is a good thing.
The Two9 crew is made up of Key, Curtis Williams, Retro Su$hi!, FatKidsBrotha, Wavy Wallace, Damien & DJ Osh.
I actually met Curtis and Osh on different occasions one of them being SXSW in Texas this past March.
TWO – 9 FOREVER is a “big ole pot” of Gumbo, an accurate depiction of what the Atlanta youth has become. Rife with tales of late nights in the studio, women, money, clothing, social issues, drugs, and even many positive stories that you wouldn’t expect. The honesty in the project laid to parallel to the amazing production provided by such names as, Reckless Decks , Snubnose , Key , Frankenstein & Retro Sushi is something that I have not seen from Atlanta since Outkast. The simplistic piano pattern found in Track 8′s “Sidney Poitier” shows the groups lyrical talent against a beat that may not be as trippy as the first 7 tracks but holds you long enough to hear a vivid message that the Two 9 crew lays out. All in all, Two 9 forever succeeds in delivering a quality product that has something for all ears. Download HERE and play from start to finish!
Reese is a the more laid-back of the new Atlanta Sound. Don’t let his nonchalant approach confuse you about his delivery or his live show. Reese’s performance alone is filled with enough energy to awaken even the deadest crowds. His performance at The Illmore at SXSW was definitely turned-up. Through Reese’s Tumblr you can see not only his evolution as an artist but you get hints to his latest work and even more information regarding the release of his next EP entitled, “Reese vs. The World 2″

ABOVE – A VISUAL FOR REESE’S NEXT PROJECT – Reese Vs. The World 2
Reese – Molly
A FEEL GOOD TRACK WITH A TRAP BEAT. I know what your about to say, what type of explanation was that? What more do you need? Reese’s wardrobe in this video captivates but at the same time shows a rare juxtaposition. High End Brands x Trap Locations. Once again this is a formula that has been crafted by the likes of Kanye West , Asaad, A$AP Rocky and yes add Reese to the list. As stated above in my opening paragraph, it is often hard to express yourself fully in the “hood” without being called weird. I don’t know about you but your average trap video doesn’t show many different levels of fashion. Subtract a few white tees, chains and designer belts and all you have left is the gritty locations in the latter videos. Reese references Molly. Its up to you to assume if Molly is that cool looking chick with the hair cut or the drug. I’m hoping the reference is in fact for that lovely young lady. The visual takes place in Boulevard ( a crime-filled section of Atlanta ) and chronicles Reese on his day to day journey with his friends and that cool ass chick that drives him where ever he needs to go. If this video is any indication of what to expect on Reese vs. The World 2 than you may be gearing up for a very chill, trap-infused project. If you happen to find yourself in New York City on July 14, Reese will be performing alongside Asaad, Flatbush Zombies and Cam’ron. Click Here for Tickets.

There are therapists in a spa who are willing to give customers a wild experience and this is really happening on many massage parlors.
